October 21, 2025 — Carmody MacDonald P.C. is proud to announce the promotion of Stephen G. Davis and Gregory J. Murphy to shareholder. The promotions reflect the firm’s ongoing commitment to recognizing exceptional talent and leadership.
Stephen Davis is an attorney in the firm’s litigation practice, and he represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contract, fiduciary, mechanic’s liens, unfair merchandising practices, and fraud matters. He also focuses on real estate law, representing clients in commercial real estate transactions and disputes, and serving more than 300 homeowner and condominium associations throughout the St. Louis region. Stephen has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star each year since 2018. He earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
Greg Murphy concentrates his practice in banking law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and business law in the firm’s corporate/transactional practice. His accounting background gives him valuable insight into clients’ financial and operational goals and allows him to provide them with practical, business-focused counsel on merger and acquisition financing, as well as the drafting, negotiation, and performance of business contracts. Greg has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Banking and Finance Law since 2022 and as a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2016. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
