Overview

Brittany Brown concentrates her practice in divorce, family law, and trusts and estates litigation. She has extensive experience handling complex family law cases and high-conflict litigation, including multi-day trials involving child custody evaluators, psychological evaluators, immigration experts, financial experts, medical experts, and business evaluators. Brittany also has significant appellate experience, having written briefs and argued numerous appeals before the Missouri Court of Appeals.

In addition to her family law practice, Brittany represents clients in litigation and disputed administration matters involving trusts and estates. She assists clients with disputes over powers of attorney, beneficiary designations, joint accounts, insurance proceeds, forgeries, breaches of fiduciary or trustee duties, trust modifications or terminations, elder abuse, guardianships, conservatorships, and discovery of assets. She represents trustees, personal representatives, beneficiaries, financial institutions, attorneys-in-fact, and family members in the full spectrum of fiduciary disputes that can arise when dealing with powers of attorney, trusts or estates.

Brittany has been recognized annually by Super Lawyers® since 2014 and Best Lawyers® since 2021. She earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law during which time she worked as an extern with The Honorable Carolyn Whittington in St. Louis County.

Brittany also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.
