Kevin M. Cushing concentrates his practice in real estate transactions and general civil litigation. He joined Carmody MacDonald in 1987 and has been a principal since 1989. He is a former co-managing partner of the firm and currently serves as the practice group leader of the firm’s litigation group.
Kevin began his practice as a trial lawyer in 1979 and developed a concentration in commercial and retail real estate. With more than 45 years of experience as an attorney, he has routinely handled transactions involving many millions of dollars. One of his more significant projects involved assisting a client in acquiring the land, developing and leasing a retail center exceeding one million square feet. Through years of both structuring real estate transactions and litigating transactions gone amiss, Kevin brings a unique, practical perspective to transactions that focuses on what works, avoids what does not, and manages the risks of the unknown.
